Risk Handling Responsibilities in Tanzanian Project-Based Organisations

Risk handling is one of the elements and essential parts risk management when properly incorporated into a project. However, there inadequate knowledge amongst contractual parties on responsibilities in road projects, particularly Sub-Saharan African developing countries. This study aimed at bridging that gap by investigating perceptions contractors consultants projects Tanzania. The primary data were collected from 80 registered foreign local civil engineering based Dar es Salaam. Descriptive statistics inferential used for analysis. results show both ranked safety project provision ensuring quality terms construction as shared among parties. findings further consultant-related are: provision, use historical cost deviation, review budgeting. On other hand, contractor-related include: provision. this can be practitioners stakeholders important lessons useful controlling risks making decisions they intend to participate such during stage.
